Due to the growing popularity of these products, there are now imitations and counterfeits appearing on the market.  Everything here is a genuine Earthing™ or Groundology™ product.  Please be aware that official distributors are not permitted to sell on marketplaces such as Amazon and eBay, and so products sold there are not likely to be genuine.

Stick-on grounding mat

Stick-on grounding mat Stick-on grounding mat
The stick-on grounding mat (also known as the "Earthing™ Sticky Mat") is the largest general purpose mat we sell, at 46cm x 91cm (18" x 36").

It has a self-adhesive backing to allow it to be fixed to floor or desk surfaces around the home or workplace.

It can also be used without removing the backing sheet to allow it to be moved around freely, and it can be cut down using a sharp pair of scissors to any size or shape required.

Possible uses include on top of a desk under your keyboard and mouse with your hands resting anywhere on the mat or under your desk with feet resting on the mat, perhaps stuck to an existing plastic carpet protector. Use around the house while watching TV, playing electronic games, or anywhere you sit, stand, relax or lie. The mat can be used with cotton socks or stockings, but will work best with bare feet or with our highly conductive grounding socks and/or shoe grounding straps.

Comes complete with a 4.6m (15ft) connection cord, and your choice of Earth connection.

Can be cleaned by wiping down with soapy water, using a non-abrasive cloth or sponge.

Frequently asked questions about the Stick-on grounding mat / Sticky Mat

1. “How sticky is the Sticky Mat? Will it wreck my floors when I try to take it off?”
Think of the Sticky Mat like a giant grounded sticker. If you wouldn’t put a sticker on a certain surface because you would be concerned about surface damage, then don’t put the Sticky Mat on it. That being said, as long as you peel slowly, it’s fine for surfaces like laminate, tile, leather, wood, etc.

2. “When I peel it off the surface I put it on, will it leave a sticky residue behind?”
It may, depending on the surface and how quickly you peel it. Go slow, and you can always use a little soap and water, or even Goo Gone, to get off any lingering stickiness.

3. “Can I re-stick it somewhere different after peeling it off? I like to move things around in my house a lot.”
You can, yes, but if you get lint or fibres or anything else stuck into the adhesive then it won’t be as sticky. And, each time you move it, it will get less sticky, too. The Sticky Mat is designed for high traffic areas or somewhere that it gets a lot of use, so in an ideal world, you pick a spot for it, stick it, and leave it!

4. “Where can I put it other than under a desk?”
There are lots of options with the Sticky Mat! Here are what others are doing.
On top of your desk
On the floor in front of the kitchen sink
On the floor in front of the kitchen stove
On the couch...leather or vinyl (not on fabric)
On the floor in front of the couch
On the floor in front of the bathroom sink
On your favorite chair
On the floor in front of your favorite chair
In a pet crate or pet bed
(This is in no way an exhaustive list. There is no “wrong” place to use the Sticky Mat, unless it’s a surface you’re unsure of.)

5. “Do I have to stick it somewhere? I’m afraid of commitment.”
Nope! You can leave the backing on the mat and then it’s like having a thinner and larger version (46cm x 91cm / 18" x 36") of a regular grounding mat. You can also try putting some double-sided tape on the back of the mat and then you won’t have such a large area of stickiness to remove if you decide the spot you placed it isn’t the perfect one.

6. “My dog always sits on my Sticky Mat. Any tips to keep him off so that I can actually use it??”
We recommend sticking your feet under him and enjoying being grounded while having warm feet. Animals love to be on grounded mats, so it’s futile to try to keep him off.

Material composition

We've sourced eco-friendly and non-toxic materials to produce a safe and premium quality grounding product.

The thin black top conductive layer (where your body makes contact) is made of PU (Polyurethane) leather. Leather look-alike items made with polyurethane (PU) are very consumer friendly and safe, unlike older PVC leathers. Our PU Leather is vinyl free, and phthalate free.

The thin black layer of PU leather is infused with conductive carbon. Carbon is the 2nd most abundant element in the human body after oxygen. The carbon is what conducts the Earth's energy.

The back side of the mat is a sticky backing to adhere to the surface where it is placed.

Connection for North America

The supplied cord fits directly into the 'Ground' pin of a North American type socket, used in Canada, the United States and Mexico.  It can also be used in Central America, the Caribbean, northern South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela and parts of Brazil), Japan, Taiwan and Saudi Arabia.

Since it is not uncommon for sockets of this type to be missing an Earth connection, this connection option includes a socket tester to verify correct socket wiring. You only need 1 tester per household, so you can choose the "without connection plug" option if you order additional products.

Note that not all outlet sockets of this type have a 3rd pin for Ground.  Sockets with only 2 pins cannot be used for grounding, and so a grounding rod must be used instead.

Grounding rod kit

If you don't have a properly earthed mains outlet (for example some European houses or a pre-1960s house in the United States), then you can instead use a grounding rod kit to make a connection directly with the ground outside.

The kit consists of a 0.3m (1ft) stainless steel rod with a 12m (40ft) cord.  The rod is pushed into the ground outside, which makes a good electrical connection to the Earth.  The cord is only 2mm in diameter so it can usually be run through the edge of a window frame with the window closed.
